SW LOCATION HUNTERS PANEL (SWC2023)

The Star Wars Location Hunters panel returned to the Star Wars Celebration program at SWC2023 on the University Stage at ExCel London, this time focused solely on exploring the deeply rooted Star Wars franchise filming connection to Tunisia. Galaxy Tours CEO (Davin Anderson) joined forces with two legendary pioneers in the field of Star Wars tourism (Gus Lopez & Jeremy Beckett) to share exclusive insights, research, first-hand accounts, and travel tips to inspire the 300+ audience members to make the Star Wars pilgrimage to Tunisia, the real-world home to fictional Tatooine and the Skywalker origin stories.

Functioning as moderator, Davin introduced new discoveries/updated details about each Star Wars film site and highlighted ongoing Galaxy Tours efforts to identify Star Wars scouted locations in Tunisia. Gus and Jeremy entertained the crowd with anecdotes and commentary derived from their groundbreaking travels to Tunisia in the late 1990s as part of the initial wave of Star Wars tourism explorers.

The trio has tentative plans to host another edition of the Star Wars Location Hunters panel at SWC2025 in Japan.
